Hi, I have just received my Vista DVD directly from Microsoft. I have gone to install it and it asked me if I wanted to update from the internet, which I allowed it to do. It then asked me to enter in the Product Key which it then told me was incorrect! But I have double-checked my typing and it is exactly as printed on the sheet. Does anyone know what is going wrong? And does anyone know how to fix it? I can supply a scan of the sheet if anyone is interested.

Hi, I had been following the instructions - Stupid of me I suppose. What I initially did was place the disc into the drive while running XP and tried to install it while still under XP. When I rebooted and installed from scratch the code was accepted.

The key works just the same whether you install from the XP desktop or by booting from the dvd. Likely there was a simple typo.
